To drive to Maui Ocean Breezes (Mauivacationhideaway.com) 240 N. Holokai Road, Haiku HI 96708 from the Kahului airport take the Hana Highway toward Paia and Hana. Ten minutes past the town of Paia you will see the Maui Grown Market on the right. We are about 1 mile past the store after mile marker 15. Look for the Holokai Road sign on the right side of the road. Turn left (toward the ocean) on holokai Road. We are on the right about 1/2 mile. Look for the mailbox sitting on a stone pillar with 240 on it. In Hawaiian Holokai means the way to the sea. It is part of a 2000 year old trail that leads to Uaoa Bay, valued by the ancients for its abundant marine life including whales. Minutes from famous wind surfing beaches, waterfalls and the surf town of Paia and the upcountry cowboy town of Makawao with their unique restaurants & boutiques. We are an awesome 1 hour drive from Haleakala volcano summit, 1 1/2 hour from Hana, 45 minutes from Lahaina and 40 minutes from Wailea/Makena. |
